Had a great time last night beaming onto the wall at Fang from
’s Neighbourhood Recorders studio on Vancouver Island to wrap the Window Inn Wednesday down at 45 Portland in Dartmouth. Leeroy joined me for ‘Happen Now’ and sang a fun version of ‘Watermelon Pink’ from his upcoming record. My album, Ladeda, was recorded 20 years this month so Bob Hoag zoomed in from Flying Blanket Recording in Mesa, Arizona for a conversation about our joyous time recording it together. All these talking heads on zoom from studios made it feel like a scene from the bridge on Star Trek where Klingons are talking to Captain Kirk.
The Window Inn bartender and mighty musical anchor, Alex Gallant, wrapped the show by singing “Albert” to my “Nina”.
Wish I could have been there to see the earlier sets out in Friction by Ryan McGrath, Joe Cobden and The Old Beef Stringband. By all reports it was a great evening.
Window Inn Wednesday is a no cellphones event so I’m going to assume these photos Mike Hall sent me of my set were taken on a real camera lest he find himself in HOT WATER.
