I'm so sorry to hear this news, Joel! I remember seeing Tom in my visits to his shop over the years. I'll never forget that J-35 hanging on the wall behind the cash. At the time there was a 50s TV Special hanging beside it as well. Instead of price tags, a little sign beside the two guitars said "Don't even ask". But I wanted to so badly! I really enjoyed your recounting of the precious instruments you've had in your life because of this wonderful mentor.

Joel, this is such a beautiful tribute to Tom. My dad used to visit the Folklore Centre a long time ago, and so did his uncles before him when they were younger. I want to send my condolences to you, as well as to his family and everyone else who knew him.

Just spotted two spelling mistakes in my original mail out. Corrected now here online and many apologies to Devins and Rodenhisers all the world round.

Oh no -- I'm so sorry to hear this news. Tom was such a great guy. Best man in town for fixing fiddles. What a beautiful tribute, Joel.
